A multidisciplinary designer, artist and creative director with over 30 years experience, Darren Hanshaw is responsible for having created and directed countless corporate identity and branding communications solutions for some of the worlds’ most memorable brands. These include Apple, Microsoft, Visa, Herman Miller, Genentech and the SPCA, among others.

Throughout his career, the one industry that continues to seek out Darren’s creative genius is healthcare. Darren’s body of work spans brand identity assignments for pharmaceutical titans like Merck in the early 1980’s to biopharma pioneers like Genentech and more recently, Amgen. Arguably, Darren is happiest with a sketchpad in one hand and a felt marker or tracing stylus in the other. Talented and contemporary, his unique graphic identity solutions are compelling, memorable and forever relevant.

As an expert branding and strategic design consultant with a broad range of experience, he continues to push boundaries in crafting brand identities for companies both locally and internationally.

Darren attended the Kansas City Art Institute, and was mentored under the direction of the late internationally acclaimed designer and professor, Victor Papanek. As a visual communications specialist collaborating with FreshBlood, Darren remains passionately committed to developing new definitions of excellence in brand identity and graphic design.
